African Football governing body, Confederation of African Football, (CAF) have announced the final three-man shortlist for the African Player of the Year.
Nigeria international and CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa failed to get the nod after making the top five.
Super Eagles numero uno Vincent Enyeama will compete with Ivory Coast national teamer Yaya Toure and Gabonese midfielder Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the right to be officially called the best footballer in Africa.
The winner will be announced at a gala ceremony in Lagos on January 8, 2015.
No Nigerian player has won the award since Nwankwo Kanu scooped the accolade in 1999
