The future of out of contract Super Eagles coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi has been a subject of discussion in recent weeks.
And the Equatorial Guinea Football Federation might offer him a lifeline by giving him an appointment as their national team coach is very strong
The debate on whether he should remain as Super Eagles coach is gaining more momentum.
Prominent former national team handlers who, it seems, have lost patience with Keshi who has refused to declare openly whether he is staying put as Super Eagles coach or leaving.
A former Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation and one time coach of the national team, Fanny Amun has joined the debate.
Amun who guided Nigeria to the 1993 FIFA U-17 World Cup triumph in Japan would prefer a major shake up in the Eagles technical crew.
Amun will like to see Keshi out of the picture but the other members of the crew retained and Daniel Amokachi made the head coach.
“Amokachi is a respected personality in the team as well having played diligently during his days and he has been around the team for a while as an assistant Coach.
The Edo State born football coach and administrator also noted that weeding off completely the makeup of the technical crew of the national team is not always needed.
“As far as I’m concerned, it’s a golden opportunity for him to prove himself as the leader of the team and I wish him all the best,” he said.
