Unuanel In Cloud Nine After Promotion Feat With Kwara United

Head coach of Kwara United, Samson Unuanel is still in cloud nine after leading the Afonja Warriors back to the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The former Ocean Boys gaffer, who preferred not to discuss his future at the club, said that the decision to award three and three goals in the match his wards played against Ranchers Bees was a welcome development.

“I'm happy and can't explain how I feel after this pronouncement from the Nigeria National League,” he stated.

“We already said it from the onset that we ought to have been awarded the match after crowd trouble in Kaduna but we are glad that same action was repeated again in Abuja,” the coach explained.

“I don't want to say much than to thank the Almighty God who made this possible. We were third on the league table last season in the NPFL before the issues we had in Ilorin during our match against Warri Wolves changed the course of our season and we ended up getting relegated to the NNL.

“I thank God that the management still had the confidence in me and still handed me the job of returning the team to where it belong.”
