Oduamadi Shines In Crotone Success

Nigeria international Nnamdi Oduamadi was in inspirational form for Crotone as the club won 2-0 in a Serie B match against ten-man Frosinone on Christmas Eve.

The forward who is on loan from AC Milan, however, lasted 77 minutes before he made way for Federico Ricci.

Goals from Raffaele Maiello and Federico Ricci was enough for Crotone to seal the win at the Stadion Ezio Scida.

At international level, Oduamadi was first capped by Nigeria U-17 back when he was at the Pepsi Football Academy.

He went on to be called up by Nigeria U-20 to take part in the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup, but eventually was cut from the final squad due to an hamstring injury.

Odu as he is known by his fans made his full international debut for Nigeria against Kenya, on 29 March 2011, featuring as a second half substitute. He appeared again against Kenya in a 2014 world cup qualifying match on 23 March 2013 and scored the equalising goal in the 94th minute to level the score

He was selected for Nigeria's squad at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and scored three goals against Tahiti in Nigeria's opeing match.

However, he failed to make the cut for the team for the 2014 World Cup, after some average displays for the team in the build up to the tournament.
