Macauley Fires Blanks In Sivasppor's Rout Of Gaziantep BB

Macauley Chrisantus failed to find the back of the net in Sivasspor's four-nil bashing of Gaziantep BB on Wednesday.

The 2007 U17 World Cup top-scorer was lively as a 55th minute substitute for the hosts in the Turkish Cup encounter.

Batuhan Karadeniz opened scoring for the Yigidos in the 15th minute.

Two minutes after, Aatif Chahechouhe gave the hosts a two-goal cushion, before he made it a double in the 34th minute of the one-sided match.

Just as the game looked like ending in a three-goal advantage for the hosts at half time, Musa Sinan Yilmazer netted a brilliant goal and the first half finished 4-0.

John Utaka, another Nigerian in Sivasspor wasn't listed for the encounter.

It was a baptism of fire for the club paying the wages of Izu Azuka and Shola Ameobi as they fell like park of cards.
