Forgotten Nigeria international left-back, Taye Taiwo has called for
immediate sack of Stephen Keshi as the head coach of the Super Eagles.
According to him, the Big Boss has failed and shouldn't be allowed to paddle the affairs of the team in future.
The Bursaspor star supported his claims saying the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualification debacle was enough reason for the ex-Togo and Mali tactician to use the exit.
“Everybody in Nigeria knows that when Siasia did not qualify everybody from the media, the fans insisted that they have to sack him, so it is normal that when a coach does not qualify for the Nations Cup or the World Cup he is not allowed to stay on. I am sorry to say that; they have to sack him (Keshi),” the former Flying Eagles defender said.
“Nigeria is not just for one person, if a coach does not qualify you for a competition why do you have to keep him?” he questioned.
While some people believe his statements might be connected with the fact that he is not on the good books of Keshi and the AC Milan flop says he holds no grudge against anyone, claiming God's time is the best.
“Please don’t get me wrong, I have no problem with Keshi, Amokachi or even the NFF. The players that have been called are also doing fantastically well, everything is in the hands of Allah. If I get the chance to play for Nigeria I will, if not, life goes on,” Taiwo concluded.
