The Daily Express says Barbosa - who has been dubbed the 'next Neymar' - is ready to 'consider his options' as Santos prepare for his sale next summer.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are all prepared to pay over the odds to land the striker, but could be trumped by Barcelona.
The La Liga giants purchased Neymar from Santos over a year ago and managed to include a 'first-rights' clause for Gabriel in the deal.
The Brazil Under-20 international has a buy-out clause of £40m, but Santos are reportedly open to offers in the region of £24m due to his contract expiring in 18 months time.
