LVG: Falcao Will Be Given More Playing Time

Radamel Falcao will be given more minutes for Manchester United this week according to manager Louis van Gaal.

The Colombian striker, who is on loan from Monaco, came on in the 70th minute of Saturday’s 3-0 win over Hull City following an absence of almost a month with a knee injury.

Tuesday night’s fixture with Stoke City at Old Trafford gives van Gaal another chance to get some much-needed game time into Falcao and the Dutch tactician suggests it will be similar situation to the weekend’s win over the Tigers when he replaced Robin van Persie.

"He was not fit to play 90 minutes, but for 20 minutes okay,” van Gaal said.

"I can use him because now he has trained for a full week with the first team. He needs match rhythm."

So far this season, Falcao has made just six Premier League appearances for the Red Devils, scoring on one occasion.
