Fabidun Emerges Chairman, Promises To Reposition Ondo Referees Council

The newly elected Chairman, Ondo State Referees Council, Mr. Fidelis Fabidun has promised to reposition the council to meet its standard.


Fabidun had polled 13 votes to defeat the incumbent, Bola Sekiteri-Ajayi, who had 5 in the highly contest on Saturday in Akure.

``I am humbled by your demonstration of love and solidarity,'' he said.

``But I am going to need the support of every member of the Ondo Referees family to re-build our council.''

Those elected unopposed include the Deputy Chairman, Adebusoye Ola, First Vice, Elder OSEWA, Second Vice, Pastor Akintoke and Secretary-General, Emmanuel Udoh.

Others include Adetule Aderemi, Assistant Secretary-General, Mrs Ogungbemi as Treasurer, Ogunboye Tope as State Training Officer, Akinfemisoye Tolu as Assistant State Training Officer, Mosele Olusola as Welfare Officer and Aladenika Sunday as PRO.

Also commenting, an elder of the council, Moses Fadoju described the election as free, fair and creditable saying the emergency of Mr. Fabidun as the chairman will bring a total turn around in the council.

"The coming of Fabidun is a sign of new beginning in the state referee family and we must support him and the new board to succeed".
