A wonderful solo goal from Nigeria's Ahmed Musa helped CSKA Moscow to a
2-0 win over third-tier Sokol Saratov in the Russian cup.
In light snowfall at Arena Khimki, CSKA's Brazilian defender Mario
Fernandes put the hosts one up in the 24th minute, snaking in from the
right flank and shooting straight at Artem Fedorov before poking home
the rebound.
Ahmed Musa's solo effort saw the league champions go two up in the 59th
minute and they held on to set up a quarter-final tie against Terek
Grozny.
The goal was Ahmed Musa's 6th of the season but his first in the cup.
The Ex- Kano Pillars and VV Venlo goal monger is amongst the player
invited by Super Eagles Coach Stephen Keshi ahead of Wednesday's
friendly against Mexico.
