Pelican Stars midfielder welcomes Maidens' win

Flamingoes defensive midfielder, Bukola Ogunnoiki has welcomed the three-nil win the team gained from Ghana's Black Maiden at the FIFA Goal Project Centre on Sunday.


''It was a very important win against a tough opponent like Ghana.

''We needed to build on the gains of the nationwide tour where we played three matches, won 1, drew 1 and lost to Rivers Angels.
''We realize that if we get results at home it will please our coaches,'' the Pelican Stars sweeper said.
''We played the game we needed, kept pressing them and the end result was victory.''
 ''We played to our coaches instructions, recovered and our positional play was particularly good.”
