Nigeria U17 women gaffer, Bala Nkiyu is not satisfied with the
three-nil demolition of Ghana U17 women and has called on his Flamingoes
players to do even better.
A long range screamer by Mary Ologbosere, Chinwendu Ihezuo's fantastic close range effort and Aminat Yakubu's penalty gave the hosts the victory and Bala was pleased with the performance but he is eager his players don’t rest on their laurels.
''We knew there was no choice but to win today and they did, so it was a triumph for the players,'' Bala told SL10.
''We’ve been looking for balance after resuming at a such a short time.
''Today (Sunday) we had organization and balance like never before.
"We have come here to select a solid team despite the short time in camp, for the fifth game running which helps and it was a great effort by the girls, I must commend them for the good job.
"You can see the togetherness of everybody which is great and it was a good win for us, hopefully we can do a double in Accra when we visit the Maidens on 9th February.
"Ihezuo has been great as the arrow head of the team. She works very hard in training and just epitomises the way the team is at the moment," the former Niger Tornadoes gaffer said."
''But we still have room for improvement.''
Bala said that if the girls are to be successful, they can only do so with the support of the fans.
