Kano Pillars midfielder Shehu Abdullahi: We must move on

Shehu Abdullahi has urged his Kano Pillars team-mates to put Sunday's CAF Champions League exit to AS Vita behind them.

Pillars defeated the DR Congo side 2-1 in the return leg, but crashed out having lost the first leg 3-1 in Kinshasa.

Shehu, who is an important member of the team believes that the squad have the quality to put things right when the Globacom Nigeria Premier League begins on 7th March, 2014.

“We have done so well, so we can't think we are a bad team overnight,” he said.

“We are a good side and hopefully we can show it on March 7th.

“Vita caught us unaware but in the second half we were a lot better and hopefully we can take that second-half display into our league games.

With Giwa on the pipeline, the 19-year-old has praised Biffo's side, who are the current Nigeria National League champions.
