Sunshine Stars Football Club defender John Kalu has expressed confidence
in the club's ability to scale through the hurdle of Enyimba
International Football Club in the Globacom Nigeria Premier League week 1
match on March 7th at the Akure Township Stadium.
The former champions welcomes the People's Elephants in what has been billed as the toughest match of the opening round.
The former Ocean Boys central defender described the duel as a tough one, while maintaining this only means the team have to work a lot harder.
“It's a difficult match and we ought to start well in front of our fans,” he offered.
“A team like Enyimba would prove a hard knot to crack. We are prepared for the task that lies ahead.
“All the same if we work hard this season would be a lot easier than the last one.
“It's an interesting battle and our chances are very bright, but we cannot afford to be complacent,” Kalu said.
