Mjees SC centre-back, Dayo Adeyoriju finally made his long-awaited debut
in an Oman Elite League week 15 match against Sur SC at the Sohar
Regional Sports Complex on Tuesday. It was a winning beginning for the
Nigerian as his team won 2-1.
Dayo, joined the struggling club during the winter transfer to aid the team's fight against relegation. The Ondo born ace was on for the entire duration of the match.
“It was a fantastic result. In games like this, it's always going to take something special to win. We have had a real bit of focus in the group since we came back from Dubai and it's a good win for us.” Dayo told a top source from his base in Oman
“It was a difficult game for both teams, with the conditions. They started well and deserved the lead but we plugged away and got back into it deservedly.
“I think we managed the game well in the final 20 minutes, and you have to do that if you want to be successful. It was an eagerness to get down the other end and win. The power in the engine of the team really kept us in the game,” the former Oman SC defender said.
