Ihezuo: There is room for improvement

Power playing Flamingoes striker, Chinwendu Ihezuo says that she needs to improve despite scoring four goals in the team's last five matches.


The forward started Nigeria 17 women’s friendly 3-0 win over Ghana U17 women on Sunday and scored one of the goals.  

Ihezuo netted the second goal but feels that she still has further to go to hit her peak.“You obviously need that sharpness,” Ihezuo said.

She also revealed her to the team's coaches (Bala Nkiyu and Anne Chijiene), after lasting the entire duration of the game.

“I have been working hard on the training ground trying to impress my coaches, and I was just thankful to get the minutes in against Ghana. That’s thanks to the Coach Bala and Anne.”
