Ifenkoh Charity scored the game's only goal as Bayelsa Queens edged Ibom
Angels 1-0 in the match-day four of the Nigeria
Women Premier League.
The visiting team were exceptionally sluggish throughout the contest in Oghara and wasted the few chances they created in front of goal.
Bayelsa Queens pressing and excellent use of the offside trap kept Ibom Angels at bay in the first half, but the homers did have a great chance to take the lead in the seventh minute but poor finishing let them down
Ibom Angels turned the screw, ever so briefly, but they wasted good chances.
With the first half looking like ending in a draw, Ifenkoh produced a brilliant opener from a 21 metres free-kick that went past Gift Andy in goal for Ibom Angels.
Bayelsa Queens looked the more likely to score again, as Rafiat Sule went close.
But for Bayelsa Queens - who simply did the basics right - one goal was enough against a fatigued Ibom Angels outfit.
