Prime charges players to remain focused

The management of 2012 Federation Cup 'giant killers' Prime Football Club, urged the team players to retain their focus after the players responded in resounding fashion by picking a vital point away from home against Abia Comets.

Prime are in hunt for one of the promotion tickets to the Globacom Premier League and the Abimbola Samuel, tutored side are third on the table log with two points behind table leaders, Gabros International Football Club of Nnewi.

  The Omoluabi Giants management while addressing the players and officials, Tuesday evening stressed the importance of the players retaining their focus and concentration as the Nigeria National League continues to gather pace.

 With the NNL games continuining to come thick and fast, Prime spokesman, Tunde Shamsudeen, while quoting the club management said, the squad have been told to keep their focus and not become over confident at their impressive results.

 "Abia Comets result was a big one and evidence to the team that they have character, the fitness and the resolve. We are in a very good moment, but we are just preparing the season now, so it's important to be determined as we have very important games in the days ahead."

  "Focus and concentration is so important, we have to remain focused on the next games, we need to remain tough to beat, and we need to keep focused at the right times."

  "The point we secured against Abia Comets is in the past and we have to focus on how we can win our home match against Gateway and pick as many points as we can away from home," he said.
