NFF insists on full payment for Super Eagles World Cup programmes

Nigeria Government has approved the sum of 1.2 billion naira for the Nigeria Football Federation to prosecute their World Cup 2014 campaign.

The approved sum is 1.8 billion naira short of the sum demanded by the NFF who have insisted that they require the sum of 2 billion naira.

Acting Secretary General of the NFF, Barrister Musa Ahmadu, during his presentation to the house committee on sports budget defence on Monday said: "We expect that one point two billion Naira will come from government, while the football house will want a balance of the money to ensure a smooth outing for the Super Eagles at Brazil 2014."

The total expenditure has been put down to 2,084,053,765 Naira with 1,254,164,329 Naira coming from government, while the NFF have now demanded for the balance of this amount.
