Fernando Gago has expressed his delight at returning to Boca Juniors, ending an unsuccessful spell with Valencia.
The midfielder, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Velez Sarsfield, last week completed a move back to his first career club Boca, after they agreed a €1.7m deal to sign 50 per cent of his rights from Los Che.
“It feels very nice to return to the club where I grew up as a person,” Gago enthused to reporters today.
“It is a great satisfaction and now I want to enjoy this stage with Boca.
“The Coach will decide where he wants me to play. I have no problem.
“Here, nobody has an advantage, you do not play for your name, the best will play.”
