I am happy with the general level of the current squad- Jose Mourinho

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said that he is not too concerned about the transfer saga involving Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and is happy with the squad at his disposal.

Mourinho had earlier said that Rooney was the only transfer target of the summer for the London football club.

Chelsea have already launched a 22 million pounds bid for the England international but their offer was immediately rejected with United manager David Moyes saying that Rooney was not for sale.

However, the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan has said that he is "calm" about the situation. "At this moment we have made what you know; that bid which was public and official and after that nothing else," Mourinho told reporters after the his team's 8-1 thumping of Indonesia All-Stars.

"But we are calm as we told you that we are calm because we are happy with what we have."

The talk of bringing in another striker to the club would definitely put some pressure on Spanish striker Fernando Torres.

Chelsea have also recalled Romelu Lukaku from his loan spell at West Brom, where he impressed last season. The Portuguese had said that Lukaku would definitely be involved with the first team squad this year and with Demba Ba also vying for a place it could mean that Torres is the one that bites the bullet if Rooney is signed.

Mourinho, though, thinks that the news of signing another striker should make the Spaniard "happy" as they would be more competition in the squad.

"I think Fernando should be happy because we have competition in the team and I think that is good for everybody in every position. Fernando I think will be pleased because during his time at Chelsea he was basically the only striker and then after that there was the arrival of Ba in January," he said.
