Serie A champions Juventus will kick off their bid for a third straight title at Sampdoria, the only team they lost twice to in the league last season.
The 2013-14 calendar was announced on Monday. Runners-up Napoli host Bologna on the opening day, AC Milan travel to newly-promoted Verona, and Inter Milan host Genoa.
Juventus host Lazio in their first home match, before making a trip to bitter rivals Inter.
The season starts the weekend of August 24 and ends May 18.
This season will be the first in the history of the Italian league that there will be five top-flight derbies. Turin, Milan, Rome, Verona and Genoa all have two teams in Serie A.
