Carles Puyol has revealed that the news of Tito Vilanova’s cancer relapse hit him ‘very hard’.
The Coach stepped down from his duties at Camp Nou on Friday because of the re-emergence of the disease.
And the captain has conceded that it has been a difficult few days.
“It was a big blow,” he told a Press conference. “We’ve had a few knocks recently, but this was really hard to take.
“Nobody expected it – the team is very upset.
“It was very hard news to take, but the person is almost the most important thing.
“All names out there have the skills to coach this team.
“We'll help the new Coach as much as possible.
“Tito asked us to give everything on the pitch - that would be the best way to help him.
“We'll try to give him some joy.”
