Real ready to test Spurs' resolve- report

Spanish giants Real Madrid are readying a record breaking bid for Tottenham Hotspur attacker Gareth Bale according to reports in England.

Real are ready to stump up a mammoth 85 million pounds for the 24 year old Welsh international.

Tottenham coach Andre Villas-Boas would be loathed to lose his key performer but the 85m pounds bid could be hard to ignore for any club.

Manchester United are also said to be interested in Bale but are not ready to pay over the odds for the Spurs winger.

Real Madrid are willing to invest such a huge sum in your services could perhaps turn the former Southampton man's head.

Real president Florentino Perez saw his side surrender the La Liga title last season and also watched as Barcelona won the race to sign highly rated Brazilian Neymar and though the Bernabeu side have also spent heavily, bringing in impressive youngsters like Isco and Asier Illarramendi, capturing Bale would be a massive statement of intent.
