Barca having a re-think about Neymar's involvement

Barcelona are reportedly considering leaving Neymar out of the travelling party for the midweek friendly in Poland.

Despite only reporting in for training with his new teammates today, the 21-year-old has been seen as likely to travel out with the squad for tomorrow’s rearranged friendly with Lechia Gdansk.

The Brazilian star’s inclusion in plans was seen as the Catalans’ way of compensating the Polish outfit for cancelling this preseason friendly’s original date of July 20.

The game was called off because of Tito Vilanova’s sudden resignation the day before due to ill health.

There are contrasting reports, though, on whether or not Neymar will be named in the squad for tomorrow’s fixture.

Today’s routine fitness tests carried out have the Blaugrana thinking twice about involving him, whilst Mundo Deportivo assert that he will be included for the trip out.

Should the Brazilian be left out, it will be to continue preparation work in training, alongside the other players who today have just returned to training.

Neymar, Dani Alves and the club’s Spanish internationals only reported in at Ciutat Esportiva today having been given an extended vacation due to participation in the Confederations Cup.
