Ermis Aradippou forward Ifeanyi Onyilo proved that his
performance over the last three months was not a flash in the pan, after
he netted a brace against Cyprus giants APOEL Nicosia in the latest
round of matches.
Thus, the Red Star Belgrade loanee, who joined Ermis at the start of this season, has chalked up 10 goals in 13 matches, and statistically he is the best striker in the Island Nation.“I was coming to Ermis to get more playing time and confidence,” says Ifeanyi Onyilo.
“I know if given the chance to play I will be good but I did not imagine to be at this stage now, and with more hard work I believe I can do more than this now.”
Speaking on his contract situation, the Ermis number 11 said : “There are some rumours being bandied about, but I do not know yet, we have to wait and see.
“Ermis has started to deal on extending my stay but we have to wait till the end of the season to see which is best.”
Onyilo has found the back of the net nine times in his last eight games in the topflight.
