Chicago Fire have captured Kennedy Igboananike as their latest Designated Player.
The 25-year old Nigerian striker, who also holds a Swedish passport, joins the MLS club from Swedish side AIK Stockholm where he has made his home since the end of 2012.
Igboananike, who has previously played with Vasalunds and Djurgardens, will bring plenty of attacking excitement to the Fire according to head coach Frank Yallop.
“Kennedy is a dynamic goal scorer with a track record of producing,” Yallop said in a club statement.
“He’s young and exciting, a player with incredible pace, and we look forward to adding him to our roster to bolster our attack.”
