Super Eagles forward Ikechukwu Uche has expressed happiness after his team ended the year with a resounding victory over Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday.
The Nigeria international was on for 46 minutes before he was replaced by Giovani Dos Santos in Villarreal’s 3-0 thrashing of Deportivo La Coruna.
Villarreal are now fifth on the league table with 30 points from 16 games.
“This is the best way to finish 2014! Thank you teammates, staff and fans!…,” Ike Uche tweeted.
The 30-year-old Nigeria striker, who has scored four goals in 14 games this season, only recently extended his contract at Villarreal till 2017.
The Spanish La Liga will resume on January 3, when Villarreal will play away at Elche.
