All road leads to Osogbo for the final of this year's Governor Aregbesola Gold Cup.
The match will take place on Thursday 18th December 2014 in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.
According to Mr Sunday Opeyemi of Samdoro Entertainment, the final is between Abolaji FC of Ogbomoso and Mapo FC of Ede at the Osogbo City Stadium.
“Over forty (40) teams registered for this year's edition,” Sunday said.
“The championship is an annual football competition put together by my outfit in partnership with the Osun State Football Association to discover talents and develop the game in the state.”
“The championship is named after the sports loving Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for all he has done for sports development in the state and for the support give to this championship,” he explained.
“I want to use this medium to thank all the teams that participated in this year's edition, and for members of the Osun State Football Association for the good organization they put in place to make the championship a success.
“I'm happy to say here that all the prizes for the winning teams and award for the best player, best team, highest goal scorer, best behaved team have been put in place. I want to say that this year's final will be colourful.
“Guests expected at the final are top football Agents from Europe and top club managers from the Nigeria Premier League.”
“The kick off will be done by the Executive Governor of Osun State Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.”
“Some former Super Eagles players are also be expected at the final,” Opeyemi added.
