Omaka happy with U20 chance

C.O.D United Football Club striker, Tony Omaka is excited to be included in the 35-man Nigeria U20 squad due to resume training on Monday in Abuja.

The former Royal Football Club player who scored 5 goals for the Lions in the 2012/13 Nigeria National League season said that the invitation was a delight to him.

Omaka is delighted at the chance to impress. “It's a dream come true and I want to seize the opportunity to establish myself in the team,” the skillful attacker said.

“It's always difficult to be called to impress in the colours of your fatherland but I feel this is the perfect time for me,” he added.

The young Omaka has played for various academies in the past.

He has been a consistent starter for the Lagos based team since he joined in 2012.

He is expected to fight for shirt with 34 other players invited by head coach of the Flying Eagles Manu Garba.
