Abia Warriors defender warn Kaduna United

Abdulwasiu Showemimo has set his sights on assisting Abia Warriors to make an appreciable impact in the Globacom Nigeria Premier League.

The former Kano Pillars central defender stated that the journey to accomplishing his goal will start in the week 1 clash against Kaduna United next weekend at Umuahia Township Stadium, stressing that the club wouldn't relent in its effort to break new grounds.

“I think I'm fulfilled playing for Abia Warriors, but I want to take it to next level by finishing in a good position at the end of the season. This is our aim and I believe we are all committed to make it happen.

Showemimo stated that the squad is focused on picking the maximum three points next weekend.

He also praised new boss, Isah Ladan Bosso, who he believes has been encouraging the team since he arrived from Bayelsa United.

“Working with Bosso will help us do well. He encourages us to play and not to rush.
