Petit winger Ejike Uzoenyi has urged his team-mates to end the 2014 African Nations Championship on a high with victory against Zimbabwe in the third place match of the competition due to take place today.
While the Wednesday's loss to 10-men Black Stars was certainly disappointing, Uzoenyi himself can count the tournament as a big step forward in his club and national career.
In the 4 matches so far, Enugu Rangers' left winger probably made the best impression among all CHAN Eagles, which could result in him being selected for the World Cup, as well as returning to Europe after an unsuccessfull spell with Stade Rennes.
However, all that Uzoneyi thinks about at the moment is a compensation to Nigerians for the heartbreaking defeat to Ghana. "It’s the only thing we have to leave here with and we are determined to compensate Nigerians with a third-place finish", said Uzoenyi quoted by a reliable source.
