Despite the two-nil loss recorded by Wikki Tourists at Spotlight they maintained their grip on the Pool A summit. Gabros International FC won 1-0 against Stationery Stores on Sunday to move to the top of the Pool B table.
The Nnewi side took advantage of the Prime's loss to Shooting Stars with a professional home win against Stores.

Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan on Saturday evening defeated Prime Football Club 2-0 in a keenly contested ‘Two Brothers Derby’.

The game looked destined to end in a draw after the first stanza ended goalless with Prime dictating the pace of the game, before 3SC substitute striker, Chijoke Joseph, capitalized on a 60th minute defensive blunder to fire a low shot into the net to send the Oluyole Warriors supporters into wide jubilation.

Prime responded immediately with fireworks on 3SC goalkeeper, Issah Danladi, who was forced to make great saves that denied the Omoluabi Giants a goal. Sanni Mohammed scored a corner goal to make it 2-0 for 3SC in the added time.

A goal in each half from Maiyaki Ismail and Ebenezer Odeyemi gave Kogi United a comfortable 2-0 victory over Mighty Jets of Jos.
