Globacom Nigeria Premier League Wrap: Enyimba, Sharks, Crown all win

Enyimba International Football Club secured their first Premier League win with a 2-1 victory at home to Oriental rivals Enugu Rangers on Sunday.

Zachary Baraje’s men produced a commanding display to cruise to their 1st win of the campaign. Sibi Gwar scored his 1st league goal and Andrew Abalogu also netted - as Semiu Liadi’s own goal proved to be nothing more than a consolation for the Flying Antelopes.

Kaduna United were made to work hard for the three points against FC Taraba. Playing in front of their home fans United took a 12th lead through Isah Aminu.

A goal each from Ibrahim Sisi and Siman Yusuf finally secured victory for Kaduna United after Aminu's opener had been cancelled out by ex-Lobi Stars man Luther Iyorhe, who netted in the 28th minute.

Crown won 1-0 against Heartland thanks to a 78th minute strike from Frank Ike Chukwujekwu. Ifeanyi Inyam’s goal gave Sharks FC a 1-0 win against Lobi Stars at Sharks Stadium.

Elsewhere, Bayelsa United drew 0-0 at Gombe United, Akwa United grabbed a late equaliser to draw 1-1 with Nasarawa United and Gambo Mohammed’s 90th-minute effort spared Kano Pillars blushes in their 2-2 draw against visiting  Sunshine Stars.
