Caterpillar read the riot act to Heartland players

Coach of Heartland FC of Owerri, Kelechi Emeteole is set to wield the big axe on some underperforming players in his team in order for improved performances this season.

The coach popularly called "Caterpillar" said it has become imperative to drop faltering players early than later in the campaign where the consequences might be grave.

"We have not won in our first two fixtures and that's a concern and some players will have to be dropped because their performance has failed to impress me in the two games we've played so far, better now than later where the consequences might be worst," Emeteole said.

"Some that will be drop from my team are going to leave because their attitude has been very poor even though their performance have been above average, in order to restore sanity to the team they too will be dropped," he added.

Emeteole took over the reins at Heartland after spending the last year without a job following his resignation at El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri; he inherited a team depleted by the sale and departure of top players in search of greener pastures following the cash crunch that badly affected their performance last season.

This season the 2011 and 2012 Federation cup winners Heartland Fc are yet to win a game, drawing at home 1-1 with Dolphins in their first league game before losing 1 nil away to Crown FC on Sunday.
