Oriaku- Everything to play for against Enyimba International, target sweet homecoming

Enugu Rangers players Cyril Oriaku and Meshack have said they will defy the odds and oust homers Enyimba on Sunday.

The Flying Antelopes dispached to Nasarawa United on Wednesday and comes to a high-profile Oriental clash against the Peoples Elephants, who defeated two-nil last season at the Enyimba International Stadium.

“We hope to go past Enyimba and climb to the top three of Glo Premier League,” declared Oriaku, who will return to his home town.

“The coach demands 110% for us at all times and on Sunday against Enyimba, we will give 110%.”

Newly signed forward Meshack Nkemgika added: “We are not afraid of them. We respect them but why should we be afraid of them?

“This is football and no team is too big and we are very positive we will win on Sunday.”

Nigeria coach Okey Emordi also said his team are looking forward to Sunday’s Oriental Derby against the star-studded Enyimba.

Both East giants clash on Sunday afternoon at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.

“We’re looking forward to this game, it’s a game of 90 minutes and there will be no second chance for both teams,” said Emordi.

“This will be a different ball game with a different mentality. It’s won’t be same like the match against Nasarawa United.”
