Kingson on the move

Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson is reported to have  signed a one-year deal with Cypriot club Doxa Katokopia.

An Accra-based radio station Montie FM announced on Sunday that the former Ghana first choice has put pen to paper.

The 34-year-old arrived at the Larnaca Airport on Monday and had fruitful negotiations with the club.

But the club is yet to officially announce the capture of the former Blackpool shot-stopper.

Kingson has been without a club since May 2011 after he was released by the Championship side.

He could return be recalled into the Ghana team if he returns to action in the Cypriot top-flight for the upcoming campaign.

Kingson has vast experience after representing clubs in Turkey and Sweden and English duo Birmingham City and Wigan.

He was between the sticks when Ghana played at the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cup finals.

Doxa finished seventh in the 2012/2013 regular season.
