5 Chigozie Agbim
He was not really tested, but rose to the occasion when called upon. He was a lot more composed in the Nigeria goal.
6 Solomon Kwambe
He did just enough to get going, defending well and joining the attack when necessary. But he needs to do a lot more if he is to have any chance of going to Brazil 2014.
6 Azubuike Egwuekwe
Another good performance from the big man. He used his height well and made sure he won all aerial balls. His lack of pace though was again exposed.
7 Kunle Odunlami
The Sunshine stars defender has grown in confidence as he tidied up things in the Eagles defence. His timing was great and he tackled well.
7 Shehu Abdullahi
He was commanding and was a thorn in the flesh of Zimbabwe, winning free kicks in dangerous positions.
5 Benjamin Francis
He returned to the fold at left back after being sidelined due to injury, but was again far from convincing.
4 Ugonna Uzochukwu
This was his worst display in the competition. He was not in his usual commanding nature. He lost balls easily and slowed down a bit. That informed his substitution.
6 Christian Obiozor
The Rangers man showed hunger in his very first game of the competition, he was too strong and skillful for the Zimbabwe defence to handle. His positioning in the box was great. He scored the only goal of the game.
4 Barnabas Imenger
He was not impressive. His power and pace were not put into use in the game. He hardly showed in the match.
5 Christian Pyagbara
He showed some urgency, won several free kicks for the team, but he did not do enough to get on the score board.
5 Ibrahim Abubakar
He always put his markers on their toes with his great technique, but again he was ineffective.
5 Umar Zango
He came in to tighten the defence.
6 Ejike Uzoenyi
The second-half substitute came in and showed his class. He tormented the defence of Zimbabwe at will and caused them trouble. He gave assist for the lone strike after he was denied a couple of times by the goalkeeper.
5 Rabiu Ali
He came in to add bite to the midfield and attack. He made some good moves.
