Former Kano Pillars defender
Solomon Mannaseh has been appointed as the head coach of C.O.D United,
after the departure of Austin Cerezo Eguavoen to Bendel Insurance.
Mannaseh had his playing career abruptly ended by an injury he failed to recover from, that inform the reason why he chose a coaching career.
He led the C.O.D United U-17 team to the 2012 Lisboa cup in Portugal, won the second National Adefemi Olubayo U-17 championship and capped a fruitful coaching career with the 2013 Lagos State Football Association Cup winners medal. With his stock rising, CUFC can be sure they have arguably the best person to lead the team.
The 28-year old has been brought in by the board to help the first team win a promotion ticket from the Nigeria National League to the Elite League.
"United has offered Solomon Mannaseh the duties of the head coach," team manager Victor Akinmoyo said.
"Manasseh will work with the coaches and bring an extra touch to the team. With his tactical brilliance, he will help us secure promotion to the Globacom Nigeria Premier League.”
