Manchester United are targeting a move for Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric.
David Moyes’ men will look to bid for the Croatia international as they are almost certainly going to miss out on Thiago Alcantara.
The Barcelona youngster was on the verge of transfer to the Premier League champions, but has instead turned his attention to Bayern Munich.
The Old Trafford team will now hope to lure Modric to the club and could make a bid of around €35m to Los Blancos.
The 27-year-old is said to be in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for this season, but the arrivals of Isco and Asier Illaramendi have thrown his starting ambitions into doubt.
