Head Coach of Giwa FC, Abdullahi Abidemi Biffo on Wednesday said that his side will pay a courtesy visit to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and believes the move was to receive royal blessings from the Monarch in order for his team to achieve success in the 2013/14 Globacom Nigeria Premier League.
According to oyosportsnews.com, the Monarch Emir of Ilorin is a keen follower of football in the country; in addition to that he has also served as the vice president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in the past.
The young coach said that players, officials and technical staffs of the Jos based team are expected to visit the Emir at his palace on Friday.
Giwa FC intensified preparations for the upcoming Elite League season with a training tour of Ilorin.
The team solely financed by Ambassador Chris Giwa have played top friendly matches with Nigeria Nationwide League, Nigeria National League and Nigeria Premier League clubs at the Kwara State capital.
