Upon resumption of the second half Bayelsa United took the game to the hosts, trying to force an equaliser, only to lose their surest link towards levelling the tie, Buhari Jaffar, the Ex-Kaduna United forward, who limped out injured with Samuel Chukwudi taking his place.

Poor finishing from Samuel Chukwudi aided Kaduna United in maintaining their lead as his composure deserted him twice when he had the goal keeper at his mercy.

The boys of Coach Ben Duamlong hung on to the two goal advantage to pick up their second win of the five week old Nigeria Premier League.
