Head coach of the Nigerian women side, Edwin Edem Okon has demanded for more from his wards after the girls crashed one-nil to the National U15 side on Thursday at the FIFA Goal Project Development Centre.
The gaffer who also heads the technical crew of Rivers Angels noted that there was no reason for his girls to have lost against the U-15 boys after playing very well against a faster and stronger Sia-One academy boys two days earlier.
"It is painful that we lost that match. You girls don't have any explanation for their below average performance against boys who were assembled just three days before the game.
"You played well in a fast tempo match against older boys on Tuesday and now this? Are we going forward or backwards?" A visibly angered coach Okon asked his girls.
The dark skinned tactician continued: "We have a serious task ahead of us and we are condemned to qualify for the Africa women championship (AWC) and do well at the competition proper, so we all have to brace up and show that we are ready for Africa,'' the former Falconets boss declared.
