Brave Melai converts late penalty to earn Lobi maximum points against Kaduna United

A 90th minute penalty from goalkeeper Terkaa Melai gifted Lobi Stars a hard-fought 1-0 victory ove Kaduna United.

The first half ended with the scores locked at 0-0 with both sides failing to create meaningful opportunities.

Kaduna United, looking to secure their first away point in two years, approached the second half with a discipline display and forced the host to few speculative efforts from range that didn't trouble goalkeeper Afeesoh Rabiu.

At the other end, Siman Yusuf and Ali Adamu struggled to test Lobi's safe hand Terkai Melai, but Isah Aminu made the goal-scoring keeper work in the 69th minute with a smart shot that tested Terkai reflexes.

However in the 90th minute of play with the ball firmly in the half of Kaduna United, Lobi were awarded a penalty, keeper Terkai Melai stepped up and dispatched his the spot-kick

The penalty surprisingly wasn't the last effort of the game, as Fidelis Eze failed to punish Peter Ambrose's error in the dying seconds of time added on.

The game ended with Lobi securing the victory, while Kaduna United largely impressive in their display, will feel hard done by the penalty from which Lobi secured all three points
