No going back on scheduled matches, LMC declares

Globacom Nigeria Premier League matches will hold as scheduled according to the League Management Company (LMC).

A statement from the office of the Chairman of League Management Company Limited on Wednesday, makes a reliable source understand that the league body acknowledged the fact that it got rumour concerning a Court Injunction stopping the league from taking place.

“We have received several enquiries concerning a rumour spreading that there is a Court order stopping the League from going on as scheduled.

''We wish to clarify that we're not aware of any such Court order and will seek appropriate legal advice from our lawyers concerning this rumour.

The statement went on to reassure the participating Clubs, Referees, Match Commissioners, Fans and all other Stakeholders involved in the day-to-day affair of Football in Nigeria.

The scheduled fixtures for the Globacom Nigeria Premier League will continue to hold as scheduled, with Thursday's games due to take place. The matches are Sunshine Stars vs Enyimba International Football Club; Warri Wolves vs El-Kanemi Warriors; Bayelsa United vs Sharks (Match Day 1 rescheduled games)
