Cavani passes PSG medical- report

Long-time Chelsea target Edinson Cavani has passed his medical ahead of his move to French giants PSG, media reports said late on Monday.

The Ligue 1 giants are said to have splashed out 55m to land the Uruguay and Napoli striker, who scored a staggering 36 goals for Napoli in all competitions last season.

Reports also said that Cavani arrived in Paris on Monday morning to undergo a medical which he passed successfully.

The striker will be officially unveiled as a PSG player to the press on Tuesday evening, reports added. His arrival could pave the way for the French team's star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to move to Premier League club Manchester City.

If the reports are really true then Cavani is expected to become one of the highest earners in football, as PSG may pay him a staggering 8.5m a season.

It could be a big jolt for Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, who was said to be after Cavani.
