Reading Manager Explains Yakubu Aiyegbeni's Snub

Reading manager, Steve Clarke has explained why he didn’t use Nigeria striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, in their 2-1 Championship win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

The 32-year old former Super Eagles striker sat on the bench for all 90 minutes, but compatriot, Hope Akpan made his first competitive appearance – albeit a cameo – for the Royals since suffering a shoulder injury last November.
