Former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu has tipped the national under-17 team doing battle at the CAF Under-17 championships in Niger Republic to win the trophy and also do well at the FIFA world cup later in the year in Chile.
Kanu led the team to winning the tournament in 1993 in Japan. He said with every tournament he has always had a nostalgic feeling and of course his heart is with the Golden Eaglets every tournament year.
“I am happy they are winning in Niger Republic. From what I have seen, I know that they have all it takes to win the tournament and also do well at the world cup,” Kanu said.
