News filtering in indicates that election into the Edo state football association board has been postponed.
The election which was fixed for Saturday, 21st february 2015 inside the officers mess at 10am will now hold on the 26th february,2015.
According to the Edo state FA secretary, Elder Emmanuel Ajibola in a text message sent to our reporter he said "the postponement is to enable the association sort herself out from the challenges in the cause of preparing for the FA election as any inconveniences is highly regretted"
Chairman of the electoral committee, Prince Femi Duze who spoke via the telephone confirmed the shift in date but could not explain further on the grey areas that need to be sorted.
However, reports reaching coming out of Benin indicates that there are plans by the ministry of youth, sports and social mobilization to foist a benin chief to pilot the affairs of the Edo FA.
As at the time of filing this report there seems to be a crossroad on why efforts are made to bend the process which so far has been smooth.
