Olarenwaju Kehinde put behind what was a difficult week for him scoring
a brace for Hapoel Afula in their 2-0 win over Hapoel Kfar Saba in the
second division of Israel League.
On loan from Maccabi Tel Aviv, Kayode had a turbulent week that saw him
punished for going on AWOL (Absent Without Leave) by his loan side
Hapoel Afula however he will be delighted to be ending the week as joint
top scorer in the division.
The brace took his season tally to 16 same as the top scorer in the
division Ido Exbard who plays for eighth placed Maccabi Ahi Nazareth.
The victory moved his team to just one point and one place behind the
the team they defeated Hapoel Kfar Saba who are still third on the log
and well in line to gain promotion to the top flight in Israel.
Already a host of top clubs in Europe and notably in Israel are lining a
bid for his services and he might move if he is not guarantee a first
team spot at Maccabi Tel Aviv next season.
Since joining Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 2012/2013 season he has only made
one appearance on the bench for the team as he has been loaned out
twice.
